Poetry

These poems are how I speak

Maybe if I said more,You'd listen up to me
But my words
Are small and weak
And I don't always say
Just what I think
Plus I wear my heart
On both of my sleeves
Troubadours and poets
Like me
Storyteller and prophet
Wannabes
But I've got this voice
to sing
And lyrics that whisper through
To my dreams
And words that flow,
In poetry
So I give my all,
Jump in,
With both feet
But the water feels
Too deep
So I write my words
Before they sink
Send them off,
To you, to free me
For these poems are how I speak.
