HOW CAN I REQUEST A REVIEW COPY OR ADVANCED READER COPIES (ARCS) OF UPCOMING BOOKS?
Members of my street team get priority for ARCs. If I have extra, I’ll open applications to Newsletter subscribers as well.
I also work with several book tour companies during my releases and throughout the year.
Another way to get ARCs is through ARC lotteries and giveaways. Follow me on social media for a chance to win ARCs, signed books and exclusive swag.
PLOTTER OR PANTSER?
Do I plot my books or “fly by the seat of my pants?”
Both. I’m a plantser. I outline the major plot points and figure out the beginning, middle, and end of the story before I start drafting, but once I’m in the writing zone I let the characters free and do what they tell me to. This has led to a few stressful editing sessions, but as the years go on I’m starting to realize my characters and I actually have a lot in common. Now, I’m getting better about having a clear vision in my head, trusting it, and ending up with a first draft I’m actually pretty happy with.
WHAT GENRES DO YOU WRITE?
My books sit very nicely between the Fantasy and Science Fiction genres. Think epic world building paired with futuristic technology. In my universe, magic is science.
I am working on two fantasy series and a handful of standalones, ranging from adventure fantasy to cyberpunk.
WHAT BOOKS/AUTHORS INSPIRE YOU?
So many! But I always say these two series helped make me the writer I am: The Giver by Lois Lowry and His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman.
WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR NEW WRITERS?
Don’t stop writing. Also, don’t put all your eggs in one basket. You can spend a lifetime perfecting your book.
There are 3 steps to becoming an author:
Finish the book.
Be brave enough to let someone else read it.
Write another book.
WHAT ORDER SHOULD I READ YOUR BOOKS IN?

HOW STEAMY/SPICY ARE YOUR BOOKS?
My Alter Series follows a love story across time and worlds, but contains no sexual content.
Most of the relationships in my books focus on “becoming more than friends,” and the feelings surrounding this.
Future books marketed toward adult audiences may feature “fade-to-black” scenes.
